Good manners and meadows.
Overview
Barona is a quiet place where people come to eat, sleep and watch TV. Simple as that.
You’ll come here knowing what you’re going to get. Residential buildings, simple parks and all the basics that get you by until the weekend.
Students seem to like it. Barona is close to both IULM and NABA university campuses.
Barona is one of those lucky neighbourhoods where life is quiet, but there’s still plenty to do next door.
Navigli is just around the corner, and Parco Teramo borders the area. And the city centre is only a 15 minute train away.
Welcome aboard - but don’t be too loud!
What can I do here?
Barona is all about beauty. Case in point; head to Parco Teramo to replace high-rise apartments with trees, roads with meadows, and shops with benches.
If you want a walk with an amazing end point, why not follow the canal all the way up to Navigli? Reward yourself with pizza and beer!
Maybe you’re a little bit nosey. Head over to the IULM campus and enjoy the stunning architecture. Who knows, it may make you want to study (again).
Hungry? Try Osteria Bel Sit. Expect potatoes, pastries, platters, pasta and piano performances. That’s right, not only do they have the letter P, they also do live music!
Fun fact
Barona has appeared as the backdrop of quite a few Italian films which include I girasoli (nominated for an Academy Award), Senza filtro, and Fame chimica.
