San Blas was once a small pueblo (village). Now it's known as the "Silicon Valley" of Madrid. More than 150 high-tech companies nest here. After all, it's close to the airport, and it has the fastest Internet connection in Spain.
If you want to live outside the city centre, in a progressive but peaceful area, try San Blas.
What can I do here?
Go shopping at the Plenilunio shopping centre. It has over 100 shops and 40 eateries. A climbing wall too. Lucky you.
San Blas is near Barajas International Airport, so it's perfect if you fly often.
Take the metro to Madrid city centre. It takes 30 minutes.
