Overview
Rome is a mix of the old and the new. Nowhere is that more apparent than in Tuscolano.
The centre of this district is residential and commercial, bustling and busy. Via Tuscolana splits the neighbourhood in two and has the best shopping in the area.
But around the edges are large, open parks. It's here you'll find the scattered remnants of ancient history. (And a good place to rest your head and enjoy the sun.)
What can I do here?
Head to the park and visit the ruins (and the Tombs of Via Latina).
If you don't feel like relaxing in the parks that surround Tuscolano, head to Via Tuscolana and shop 'til you drop. There are loads of chain stores, boutiques, cafés, and restaurants.

If you're in the mood for some good ol' American Tex-Mex, look no further than the Blue Beef restaurant. Serving up outstanding burgers, fries, grilled meat, and more, this place is a slice of Americana in Rome.
Fascinating fact
In Tuscolano, you'll find the ruins of 5 of ancient Rome's most important aqueducts. The well-preserved ruins of two of them can be found, surprisingly, in Parco degli Acquedotti. Irrigation alert!
