Overview
Shopping. Nightlife. Architecture.

In Ticinese, the old and the new come together in a unique mix.

There are young new residents and generations of families.

There’s great nightlife here. You’ll also find bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. It also has 2 shopping streets: Corso Genova and Corso di Porta Ticinese. People often stop to admire the beautiful gate there.

What can I do here?
The main charm here is Ticinese’s strong roots. It has a strong alternative scene. Want the latest in skate attire and products? This is the place to be!

A fan of tattoos and piercings? There are lots of studios here. Corso di Porta Ticinese is like London’s Camden Town. Go shopping! Find vintage boutiques. Trendy streetwear. Record stores. A true blast-to-the-past experience!

If you like history, stop by Colonne di San Lorenzo. It has some of the oldest Roman ruins in the city.

Get back to nature with a visit to Parco Giovanni Paolo II. It’s a huge park with 2 basilicas. There’s also an area for dogs, and a play area for children.

Corso San Gottardo is another main street in Ticinese. It has leather goods, electronic stores, and a popular art gallery.

Fun fact
Ticinese was a part of the canal transport system. It was used during the construction of the San Lorenzo Basilica. They built the foundation from blocks taken from Roman sites. They used marble to decorate the interior.
