Quartiere Adriano
The suburb’s-suburb

Overview
It was just the luck of the draw that we gave Adriano this nickname.

Quartiere Adriano (The Adrian District) is an interesting place precisely because it is twice removed from Milan.

How?

Look to the North West and you will find Sesto San Giovanni - a notable suburb of Milan because it acts as its own city!

So if Sesto is a suburb city, and Quartiere Adriano is a suburb of that, where are we left?

That's right. In the suburb of a suburb.

For this reason, Quartiere Adriano sums up suburban life to a T.

Green spaces, apartment blocks, transport into the city. And some local bars to call your own, of course. Peaceful bliss.

What can I do here?
If you’re expecting parties left, right, and centre, you’ve been told some very inaccurate stories.

We’re talking about a quiet life and some space for your thoughts. Quartiere Adriano is the suburb of a suburb, after all.

Our recommendation is to build your free time around the parks. Parco Adriano has plenty of trees, flat ground and relaxing views of outer Milan. That's what it's all about.

Next up, Giardino Franca Rame. More green space and an uninterrupted view of the horizon if you pick the best angles.

And when you’re hungry, check this one out. Ristorante Zhou mixes 2 of the world’s favourite cuisines - Italian and Chinese. Start with some spring rolls, then finish with a pizza. Because why not.

Renovation Fact:
In 2017 the Italian government decided to give Quartiere Adriano a new park, a new school, and a Metro station upgrade starting in 2018. Good as new!
