Serenity and... bus stations?
Overview
The fact that Lampugnano is most well-known for its bus station should give you a good idea about life here.
But don’t worry, it’s still a lovely place to live!
Lampugnano sits in the middle of two of Milan’s most beautiful parks. Weekends here are always full of fresh air and daisies.
And the bus station?
Lampugnano is a key part of Milan’s commuter belt. Many workers live here so they can travel into the city every day.
If you haven’t guessed, life here is mainly residential. Lampugnano is more about supermarkets than nightclubs. But you can get to the party places in no time at all.
And if you're wondering... Yes, Lampugnano bus station is as forgettable as it sounds.
What can I do here?
Despite being a quiet commuter town, there’s plenty to do in Lampugnano.
You’ll want to spend your weekends in either of the 2 major parks next door. Parco Monte Stella lies to the east and is hilly - perfect for a mini-hike and some great views over the city.
And Parco Aldo Aniasi is to the west - a flat park divided into sections. You can also find the Milan War Cemetery here, if graves are your thing.
Stadio San Siro is also close by. Enjoy watching AC Milan - the Rossoneri - or Internazionale - the Nerazzurri - compete in Italy's Serie A.
When it’s time to let your hair down, De Angeli is a popular neighbourhood 20 minutes away on the metro. Bars and clubs await. Bring your dancing shoes.
Or you could take the commuter routes. It is 13 minutes to the city centre on the Metro, so enjoy Milan at your own pace and convenience.
Come dinner time, our recommendation is L’Arca. Try the spaghetti in crosta - pasta and mussels... served in a pie? Delicious!
