You don't have to compromise, either. After all, the city centre is close by. In fact, popular La Latina is just north of here.
What can I do here?
Cheer on Atlético de Madrid at Vicente Calderón stadium. It's heavy-metal-football: fast, angry, and loud. The stadium shakes to the roar of 54,000 people.
The 1903 Sport Bar & Lounge Restaurant is also in the stadium. The menu is Mediterranean but they "specialize in hamburgers". You first.
On Sundays, lose yourself in the Rastro market. It's in La Latina next door. You'll find hundreds of stalls, some selling antiques, some selling old things.
If you need some Me Time, take a walk along the Manzanares River. Find your Zen.
