Paddington has an excellent mix of top quality restaurants to choose from. Why not keep it simple and head to Lockhouse for beer and burgers? This google reviewer certainly thinks you should:

Literary fact King’s Cross may lay claim to Platform 9 ¾, but Paddington Station has Paddington Bear. So there.
On platform 1 you’ll find a bronze statue of the famous Peruvian Bear, who happens to be named after the station.
