Marlybone
Because I love beautiful buildings with interesting things inside.
You’ll love this...
Restaurants and gastro pubs fill the streets.
Galleries devoted to the modern, to the classical, to the established and the unknown, to the local and that which came from afar.
Living close to the best London has to offer...
And London has a lot to offer.
But you might not love this...
Your new home is a fancy place, which is great if you’re fancy.
But if you’re a little more grit than glitter, and you want somewhere more kebab than Sunday Brunch, then hop on the Central line and ride a few stops east.
Will I like it here?...
Sure.
It’s a picturesque spot with grandiose architecture. And of course it’s right next door to Hyde Park. It’s also an interesting place to be if you’re a music lover.
Really? Tell me more?...
Fans of both rock and Baroque music can get their hit here.
Head to 23 Brook Street. Check out the former residence of Jimi Hendrix. The legendary guitarist’s former residence is now a museum. He lived here when he wrote and recorded Electric Ladyland.
2 doors down you’ll find the former home of a musician from a different era: George Frideric Handel. He composed some of his most famous work at this address during the second half of the 18th century.
What can I do here?...
Shop in cool independent boutiques and big brand fashion houses. There’s something for every fashionista around here. And non-fashionista. So that’s everyone, then.
I’m still not convinced...
Really?
You would hate to live right around the corner from Hyde Park?
Living so close to the West End sounds dull?
You wish it would take you longer to get home from the nightclub?
You hate having some of London’s most iconic spots within walking distance?
Well, ok then.
