Santa Maria Maior apartments for rent

Santa Maria Maior
Because I want it all, up close and colourful.
You’ll love this...
The impossible charm of Alfama, the ruckus downtown in Baixa, and the history of Chiado e Carmo. What more do you want?
But you won’t love this...
It’s always busy in Baixa, and Alfama and Chiado are jam-packed with tourists. Looking for some peace and quiet? Perhaps visit but don’t stay.
Will I like living here?...
Iconic. Spirited. Enchanting... help me out please Erich Maria Remarque!
“By day Lisbon has a naive theatrical quality that enchants and captivates, but by night it is a fairy-tale city, descending over lighted terraces to the sea, like a woman in festive garments going down to meet her dark lover.” Yes. What he said.
Grand avenues and majestic squares, festivals and fado, miradouro sunsets and grilled sardines. It’s all happening in Santa Maria Maior.
And if you’re bored...
Miradouro de Santa Luzia: Lisbon is a city built on 7 hills, and what better way to finish a day than by gazing out across the Tagus while the sun goes down?
Google rating: 4.5/5
And this Google review nails it:
“Grab a Super Bock, gather some friends and spend the evening enjoying the sunset.” – okay, we will.
Anything else?
Alfama needs a special mention...
It’s the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon, a labyrinth of narrow streets and hidden plazas, and a cradle of colour and culture. It’s best explored on foot; no maps, and nowhere to be.
And did you know?…
It’s perfectly acceptable to do shots at 9am in Lisbon. Throw down some cherry brandy at a Ginjinha bar with some local characters, and put some pep in that step.
