Charlottenburg
Because I like a little old-world charm.

You’ll love this...
It’s grand and civilized, with more than a whiff of old-world decadence.

Will I like living here?...
Well, it sure is lovely.

Stroll in the manicured gardens of Charlottenburg Palace. Get your high-end shopping done along grand boulevards like the famous Kurfürstendamm: table cloths and wicker chairs, theatre and fine dining.

Hey, it’s still Berlin though and es macht viel spaß (plenty of fun)! Excellent restaurants, trendy bars, and cool 3rd wave coffee houses.

Young professional, student or family; ja, there’s something here for ya.

And if you’re bored...
Schwarzes Cafe: A legendary 24 hour cafe once frequented by Bowie and Iggy. Have breakfast for dinner. Maybe this is Bowie’s Berlin after all… Google rating: 4.⅘ And this Google review nails it: “I'd never had an Oatmeal Burger before. I ordered it and a Bowl Of Coffee. I'm a sucker for fun names. The burger was closer to a fried falafel and had a truly interesting carrot sauce.” – Food review, or the start of a novel?

Anything else?
Charlottenburg is actually a sweet spot for students.

It’s handy to the city and the campus, and there are some affordable rooms on offer.

It might not be party central, but Moabit is next door if you need a dance floor.

And did you know?…
The famous Amber Room was originally intended for the Charlottenburg Palace, but the golden panels went missing during WWII.

The Amber Room you see today in the Catherine Palace (near Saint Petersburg) is actually a reconstruction, and the original has yet to be located.

Someone, somewhere is hiding a room under their bed.
