Spotahome's opinion

In a large 1904 Hôtel de Maître, style Art Nouveau, ten rooms are for rent. The house was totally renovated in 2020. Whilst preserving all the old details and charm, we updated the plumbing and electricity, put in new kitchens, new bathrooms, had the walls plastered and painted, the old parquet floors and moulded ceilings restored.

The full house is rented in co-location as crucial parts (kitchen/living/garden) are for common use. Each renter has his/her private room and private bathroom. The ten rooms, including private bathroom, vary from 21 to 42 square meters each. All rooms have high to very high ceilings. All are fully furnished and equipped. One floor is part-time used by the landlord. The location is very central, in between the Square de Meeus, Place de Londres and Place Luxembourg. This is a few minutes’ walk from the Trône metro or the Luxembourg train station.

All rooms are for single-use, non-smoking.

The souterrain contains a large, fully equipped common kitchen. In the laundry room, you find the washer, dryer and ironing equipment. Next to the kitchen area is the dining/ living room with tv. From there, you can access the enclosed, quiet city garden of 180 square meters.

Prices vary with room size plus a monthly charge of EUR 175 for all included extras; furniture, bedding, towels, functioning television in the living room, high-speed internet throughout the house, gas, water, electricity, insurance, regular cleaning, availability of washer and dryer. It allows you to use the house without any worries.

This room is 24 square meters with two large windows to the street and high ceilings. The room has a double bed, a cabinet, a desk and a comfort chair. The bathroom has dressing space with a large cabinet for clothes.

++Room 6++ (34m2, second floor, street side)

This room is 20 square meters with high ceilings and large windows and a door with direct access to your private balcony. The room has a double bed, a desk, a dresser and a comfort chair. Through a short corridor of 5 square meters, with a large, mirrored cabinet, the room connects to your private bathroom of 9 square meters. Those jointly benefit from a skylight. The bathroom contains a sink, a toilet and a shower.

++Room 5++ (42m2, second floor, garden side)

This room is 31 square meters with high ceilings and very large windows to the garden side of the house. The room has a double bed, a large wardrobe, a desk and a comfort chair. The room connects directly to a private dressing/bathroom of 11 square meters. It contains a sink, a toilet, a shower and a large window to the garden side.

++Room 4++ (21m2, third floor, street side)

++Room 1++ (35m2, fourth floor, attic)

The top floor room is under the eaves of the house. On the third floor, it has a “private” entrance with a staircase going up to the fourth floor. The room has big windows with a large private roof terrace facing south east, with view onto the European Parliament. The room also has two large windows facing north west. Inside the room is a bathroom which contains a shower, a sink and a toilet. Both ends of the room extend beyond the low roof, with storage space, not included in the 35 meters calculated.
