The name of the place says it all, as Les Terrasses de Lyon means ‘the terraces (or rooftops) of Lyon' in French. If you want to delight your taste buds and your eyes, then pay a visit to this gourmet restaurant. This was a convent built in the 17th century, with its ocher-filled walls, it exudes an exotic Italian charm. Located on the heights of the lovely Fourvière hill, you can savor the chef Davy Tissot’s creative dishes on the terrace while enjoying the unique view of the city.
2. Ayers Rock Boat
Address: 21 Quai Victor Augagneur, 69003 Lyon
On sunny days, the banks of the Rhône are perfect for a little spree. Among the many houseboats, we particularly love the Ayers Rock Boat with the Australian ambiance and relaxed atmosphere. This enormous terrace (400 m²) is almost invisible from the street. Slightly far from the city center, in the district of Vaise to be precise, O Jardin definitely deserves your visit. Why? Because it’s got a bar with barbecue, a field for a typical southern French pétanque game while having some rosé wine, a garden with umbrellas for lounging and excellent artisanal cuisine at reasonable prices. A very well-hidden surprise indeed!
