So, let’s talk about housing for EAE Students in Madrid. First of all…
Where is EAE?
EAE is one of Spain’s most renowned business schools. Located in the Chamartín neighborhood, in the northern part of Madrid, the campus’ nearest metro stop is República Argentina Metro stop on the 6 line. The 6 line goes in a circle around Madrid, giving you easy access to many parts of the city.
Chamartín is home to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid’s beloved stadium. If you live close enough, you can hear fans going wild every game! Chamartín is also just north of the Salamanca neighborhood, which is known for being one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Spain. It is also close to Avenida de América, an area with many businesses, shops, local restaurants, and bars.
Best neighborhoods for students at EAE Madrid
Salamanca
Salamanca is known as the wealthy neighborhood in Madrid’s center, with some of the most exclusive stores and restaurants on the group of streets collectively known as the Milla del Oro (Golden Mile). It is one of the few parts of Madrid with a square, parallel street structure like in New York City. The Palacio de los Deportes, the main sports events venue in Madrid, can be found here. Calle Goya in Salamanca is also famous for its shopping options. And in the southern part of this neighborhood, you can find Retiro, which is one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the city.

From Salamanca, you can easily get to the EAE campus by taking La Línea 9 (Line 9) from the Núñez de Balboa stop and getting off at Cruz del Rayo. From there, it is a 10 minute walk to campus. In addition, the 19 bus (which goes north on Velázquez and south on Serrano) will leave you in Plaza de la República Argentina, which is mere steps from campus!

Chamberí
Chamberí is a safe and quiet area located west of Chamartín. It is home to the beautiful Parque de Tercer Depósito, also known as Parque Santander. Chamberí is close to the hip, trendy neighborhoods of Malasaña and Chueca, which are full of activity at night. Chamberí is also near the Moncloa area, where many universities are located. It’s ideal for students looking to have fun with other students.
Here’s a video on two beautiful areas in Chamberí: Almagro and Trafalgar.
To get to EAE from Chamberí, take La Línea 1 from Bilbao and transfer onto La Línea 6 at Cuatro Caminos. From there, get off at República Argentina. You will see EAE right when you leave the station. Another option is to take bus 7 (originating in Alonso Martínez with stops on Calle Almagro, Calle Miguel Ángel, and Paseo del General Martínez Campos) straight to Plaza de la República Argentina.
