Museum of Riga’s History and Navigation

Museum of Riga’s History and Navigation is one of the oldest public museums in the entire country as well as Europe. It dates back to 1773 and features plenty of Riga’s as well as Latvian history.

Latvian National Museum of Art

Zanis Lipke Memorial

The Zanis Lipke Memorial gives an important insight into the Jewish history and fate of many that tried to survive the World War II. The museum itself is known as the city’s best hidden museum, which was the entire purpose of the building that helped shelter Jews during the second World War.

Vērmanes Garden

Ķemeri National Park

Located on the outskirts of Riga, Ķemeri is an ideal park for those looking to take a day trip away from the bustling city. The large park features the unique Kemeri Bog, mineral waters, and even therapeutic mud. From beautiful pathways to plenty of greenery and a path that leads straight to the beach, Ķemeri is one of the best parks to get your nature fix.

Kalnciems Fair

Kalnciems Fair is only open on Saturdays, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worthy of your visit. This historical fair features a unique theme every Saturday, but you can find plenty of Latvian cuisine here as well as other knick knacks.

5. Go to a beach

The Jurmala beaches all have a Blue Flag certification for being some of the cleanest and safest beaches around!
