Can you imagine earning money for simply sitting on your sofa or lying in bed?
Well, here's your chance! We're looking for a Spotahome Home Tester who'll earn up to €1,000 per month to pay their rent for whichever flat they choose to live, and all they have to do is... Well, live there. Not bad, huh?
What's a Home Tester?
Basically you'll be a tenant in one of our apartments in London, Madrid or any of the other 9 cities we operate in and you'll live there, for free. Not bad, huh? Sorry, I already wrote that, but this is too cool!!
How Can I apply?
Easy.
1. Create your application
Record your elevator pitch in a video (1 min. max) or take a photo of yourself and explain why we should "hire" you as our Home Tester. Be creative and convince us that you deserve 12 months free rent.

2. Upload to Instagram
Now let's get your video or picture online:
- Publish your video or picture (make sure you have a public profile so we can see it)
- Add the hashtag #12monthsfreerent,
- Tag @spotahome in your post
- Follow @spotahome
- Share: Spread the word and get your friends to enter as well.
Be quick - you only have until the 30th September 2019 to apply.
3. Wait to see if you'll be our Home Tester
Our judges will select the winner, and we will announce the lucky candidate on the 4th of October. The new Home Tester will have €12,000 to pay their rent for a year in the flat of their choice.
I don't mean to bore you with the legal details, but here's a bit more of useful information for you.
When?
The Contest will end on the 30th of September, 2019 at 11:59:59 PM CEST (the "Contest Period"). Entries that are submitted after the Contest Period will not be accepted. The winner will be chosen by a jury composed of members of our Design Team on the 4th October 2019.
How can I enter?
- Make sure your video is 60 seconds or less or no more than 10 photos (a carousel is preferred). Entries received after the stated end-date will be void. All entries become the property of the sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
- ENTRY REQUIREMENTS You agree that you will not post any text, images, audio, or video ("Content") in association with your entry that contains nudity, excessive violence, obscenities, offensive/objectionable behavior, or content for which you do not own the rights or permission to use.
- All entries submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other content.
- Furthermore, You agree not to submit any content that: (a) infringes any third party proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal/moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, trade names, industrial designs, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity or confidentiality obligations; (b) depicts adults, children or other minors without their consent; or (c) otherwise violates applicable laws.
Winner selection
Our first Spothaome Home Tester will be selected by a jury composed of Spotahome's design team. So, it goes without saying that you gotta be creative and original.
Winner notification
The winner will be contacted via direct message on Instagram within five business days after the Contest Period ends. If the winner doesn't reply within five days after the date of the first attempt to contact them, we will select an alternate potential winner in their place.
PS: The contest is open internationally and anyone, above the age of 18 can apply. YAY!
The Prize
Twelve (12) months free rent, to one (1) lucky winner
The Contest winner will be awarded a payment towards their rent for a maximum of €12,000, representing €1,000 per month for twelve (12) months.
The prize is as stated and no other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are non-transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
