A ten-minute walk takes you past the Bode Museum either to the Museum Island or over the Monbijou Bridge to the lively Oranienburger Strasse with its international restaurants, the old synagogue, the “Tacheles” cultural center and the famous “Hackesche Höfe” on the Hackescher Markt. There are also a few cinemas there that show arthouse films and original films. If you walk in the other direction, you go to the Brandenburg Gate, the boulevard “Unter den Linden”, the Humboldt University, Berlin Cathedral, etc. are around the corner.
